I’m not having the best week here in Hanoi. Ik ben niet onder de beste week hier in Hanoi. There are a lot of things on my mind. Er zijn veel dingen op mijn achterhoofd. Mainly personal stuff. Vooral persoonlijke spullen. I did take some pictures of the Sword Lake when Tuan Anh and myself went to a cafe for drinks after lunch. Ik heb enige foto's van de Sword Lake, waar Tuan Anh en ik ging naar een cafe voor een drankje na de lunch. It’sa much smaller lake compared to the West Lake. Het is een veel kleiner meer ten opzichte van de West Lake. It was nice and windy from where we were but the pictures are not of the best quality since it was cloudy. Het was mooi en winderig uit waar we waren, maar de foto's zijn niet van de beste kwaliteit, aangezien het bewolkt.

The view from the cafe was really nice. Het uitzicht vanuit het cafe was echt leuk. I was told the building of the cafe itself is more than a 100 years old. Er werd mij gezegd het gebouw van het cafe zelf is meer dan een 100 jaar oud. Fascinating interior. Fascinerend interieur.

The weather in Hanoi has changed slightly. Het weer in Hanoi is licht gewijzigd. Sunday and Monday was still pretty warm. Zondag en maandag was nog behoorlijk warm. Come Tuesday, the weather started to take a cooler front. Kom dinsdag, het weer begon te nemen een koeler front. Though not as cold as it was when I last visited Hong Kong and Shanghai last year, you could see the locals all decked out in long-sleeves at the very least. Hoewel het niet zo koud als toen ik voor het laatst bezocht Hongkong en Sjanghai van vorig jaar, kon je zien dat de lokale bevolking al de slaapkamer in lange mouwen op zijn minst. A large number actually showed up at work in jackets and some even winter clothings. Een groot aantal daadwerkelijk liet zien op het werk in jassen en sommigen zelfs' s winters clothings.

I guess as a Singaporean who experience the warm and humid weather most part of the year, I kind of enjoy the cool weather. Ik vermoed dat als een Singaporese ervaring die de warme en vochtige weersomstandigheden grootste deel van het jaar, ik soort genieten van de koele weersomstandigheden. I was walking around on the streets in my t-shirt and jeans. Ik liep rond op straat in mijn t-shirt en spijkerbroek. Folks from the project office asked if I felt cold. Mensen uit het project kantoor gevraagd of ik voelde koud. Amazingly, the air-conditioner in the project office is set at 28 degrees celsius. Verbazingwekkend, de airconditioning in het project kantoor is vastgesteld op 28 graden Celsius. What is up with these folks? Wat is met deze mensen? Might as well open the windows and save some energy. Macht en open de ramen en energie besparen.

The weekend is finally here… Het weekend is eindelijk hier…
