Payment Gateways - Good and Bad
probably one of the things that many people having been looking forward to recently after the crazy 2 weeks in the surf world. AsianPay has announced that they have fixed all technical glitches and the “New Investors Corner Subscriptions” is good to go. if you are not familiar with AsianPay, read this ARTICLE from way back last year. almost a year old (30th August 2005), AsianPay is one payment gateway that has been truly under under-rated and utilize in my opinion. perhaps their very successful in house “Shareholders Program” had caused admins of surf sites and HYIPs to shun away possibly fearing the risk of losing “investors”. as for me, AsianPay offers consumers like us not only a full rounded payment gateway solution, it also offers members a legitimate investment program in a company that though very much in it’s infancy stages, looks set to take on the bigger boys. for those who are looking at a serious investment opportunity, i’d suggest you give AsianPay a good and hard look. legit opportunities like these don’t come by everyday. latest news has it that AsianPay has incorporated an office in Singapore (where i’m located). here’s some online information pulled via the government websites.

more reports of hackers getting into surf sites. one of the more recent ones would have been GlobalAdsPro. Trish has fixed that one so no worries for me. BigDaddySurf has temporarily suspended advert purchases via e-gold while he continues to work on security. someone tried to get in. BigDaddy has closed that loophole in the script so again, nothing to worry about. the member who took advantage of that situation quickly got booted out from the membership. BigDaddy is an old time friend. used to be one of my readers and referrals at many sites. my advice to you is this. don’t try your luck messing with this ex-Marine. really stupid thing to do. WebHitsDaily detected an attempt as while but they already have a new security script installed to prevent loses. kudos to these admins for finding ways to protect members and keeping e-gold as an option for members.
on a note of safety, never leave too much money in your e-gold account. if you have to, create a secondary account. move your money there. do not let anyone know your account number. else, i normally sell it off the minute it comes in or purchase more advert packs at various sites. $10.00 sitting in my e-gold is a lot to me. with the price of gold continuing to fluctuate, leaving $1,000.00 in there for a day could mean you probably gain a few bucks or lose as much as $40 to $50 over night when the price of gold dips. now i can get pretty wasted at Wala Wala or Balaclava with that amount of money. from the security and financial stand points, it’s just ain’t worth risking it if you ask me.
who in the world users them anyway? ok, be fair. some people use them and swear by them for security. how secure they are i wouldn’t really know. never used them for a single transaction and i’m not planning to even though i do have a corporate account with them. if you are thinking of dumping or exchanging your e-Bullion funds, either wait till AsianPay has it up and running, which i expect to be very soon, or go use SolidPayTrust.
one of the up and coming payment gateways and already gaining popularity at surf sites. with a pre-loaded VISA debit card (use it like a credit card) at only $24.95, which is already cheaper than VirtualMoneyInc’s debit card (with no VISA facility). SafePay is one processor to watch. if you haven’t signed-up, you might wanna soon. this one will soon be giving the other “Big Boys” a run for their money. there are many ways to fund and withdraw from your SafePay account. this one was even featured as “Pick of the Week” here recently. you can read about the full ARTICLE here. i hear SolidTrustPay now offers exchange services to fund your SafePay account too. rule #1. never rely sole on one payment gateway. many of us learned that the hard way in Feb this year. yes, e-gold is great. AsianPay looks set to take centre stage. SafePay is definitely a payment gateway choice i’d suggest you get on. not soon, not tomorrow. do it now! take that as a *hint*. got it? ok, again then. *hint*, *hint*. hope you get it this time.
so i’m hearing rumors that VirtualMoneyInc is gonna pull out of surf sites? i haven’t read about it anywhere. it’s definitely not in the VirtualMoneyInc “News Archives“. so for those of you who will like to point me to the right direction, please use the “Contact Us” form on the navigation bar of the blog. yes, i like my VMI card. feels really good and safe to use. how ever, since the downfall of AlienTrust & “The Alliance“, i’ve not been receiving any funds to it nor sending any out since, i’ve no funds in there that begin with. i have no problem using it except for the max limit of $500 when withdrawing from the ATM. i had to perform 7 withdrawals the last time i used it at the ATM. can imagine me holding up the queue yet? think i’ll settle for the pre-paid VISA debit card by SafePay instead. besides, call me paranoid but there’s something bothering me about VMI. well, we’ll just have to see. hopefully, they don’t join StormPay and UniClear which are somewhere in that drawer of mine.
what’s with these people? man, i don’t know. e-gold out-exchanges take forever. no i’ve never used it. heard about it from just about everyone i asked. fees are quite high to offer in my opinion, what i’d call sub-standard services. and if you are not in the USA, you can’t withdraw to your bank. not even to a US bank! was hoping my VMI card would come in useful. guess not huh? only alternative left is to use SolidPayTrust. i don’t mind using them once or twice. but to use them everytime i need to get funds out of AlertPay is ridiculous. i’m charge almost 4% by them just to receive my payouts from surf sites. then i incur more fees when i out-exchange via SolidPayTrust. not forgeting most surf sites charge you fees on payouts these days. wonder if i actually have any profit left by the time i’m done. good and user friendly for you if you are in the USA. not so good for international members. again, my opinion.
i don’t know where i’ll be without these guys. yes, there’s a fee for each transaction. not dirt cheap but still within manageable costs. one thing is for sure. i’d most probably have to use them should i need to cross fund my AlertPay, SafePay or VMI accounts. if you’ve not yet signed-up, go do it. you get $1.00 free just to open and account. better yet, they do exchanges for just about any payment gateways you can possibly think off.
once my favorite payment gateway due to the fact that they do e-gold exchanges at dirt cheap rates, have a debit card facility that’s the cheapest to use and funds normally ready within 24 hrs, gave members $5 when they signed-up and funded their accounts with minimum of $100.00 within 2 weeks, offers bank wire and checking facilities. well, they have been through all sorts of trouble since last Christmas. i’ve never seen another payment gateway with so much troubles. the debit card has been stopped though i here they are in the midst of re-arranging a new debit card facility. on a more positive note, UniClear has announced recently that they have made headway into New Zealand by establishing a Farris Trust bank account (associated with ANZ Bank), a bank account in Moscow, another bank account in the Philippines and perhaps most interestingly, hooked up with 10 major banks in China to process their credit card orders. the last feat is not an easy one to accomplish. say what you will but China still pretty much have their economy closed up. keep the money within the country. being based out of Hong Kong sure gave UniClear an advantage. it’s a lot of money in China’s market alone. so will UniClear be my fave again ahead of e-gold? dunno man. i’ll wait for their new debit card facility. i hear their bank wires are still pretty ok but reviews are mixed. for me, i’ve got like $0.51 left in my account so no biggie.
that’s it from me. i’ve been invited for a partnership program with another gateway of sorts. still looking at them. will post here with more info once i get all the details i need. in the mean time, spread your funds across different gateways. don’t be stupid like so many of us were when StormPay cleaned out probably 80% of surfers early this year. if a payment gateway isn’t helpful or not friendly to use, just dump them. you are the customer. they are they service provider. simple as that.
